(HBO) - Tourism development and awareness of tourism among ethnic people in Tan Lac district of the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh have seen positive progress.
Since the beginning of the
year, the district served 76,000 visitors, up 920 tourists against the same
period last year. Of the number, 75,086 are domestic visitors and 920 foreign
holidaymakers, raking in nearly 8.4 billion VND (370,000 USD).
Local people in Ai hamlet in Phong Phu commune (Tan Lac
district) operate home-stay facilities and earn more from tourism.
The district’s total
tourism revenues reached 15.06 billion VND (660,000 USD), up by 4.6 billion VND
year-on-year. Some investors with potential have registered to conduct research
for their tourism development plans, with two projects in Quyet Chien and Ngoi
Hoa communes and nine community-based tourism establishments receiving approval
from the local authorities./.
