spiritual tourism at Thac Bo Temple. In 2015, the district Party Committee
issued a resolution on tourism development for 2015-2020 with a vision to 2030.
In June 2017, the People’s Committee of Da Bac
issued Decision No. 1908, approving the tourism development plan until 2020
with a vision to 2030. Thanks to the plan implementation, the local tourism
sector has enjoyed considerable improvements. Tours and tourism routes have begun to be
formed while many investors have been attracted to this industry.
Da Bac welcomed 60,500 tourist arrivals in 2017
and over 79,000 visitors in 2018, helping the district gain 14.2 billion VND
(613,200 USD) in tourism revenue.
Addressing the workshop, leaders of the Da Bac
People’s Committee highlighted the district’s orientations for tourism
development, stressing that it is ready to roll out "the red carpet” for
investors in tourism projects.
It hopes that investors will directly
meet the district’s authorities to discuss ways together to handle any problems
facing their projects. The Da Bac People’s Committee also called for good
coordination among local departments and agencies to help with sustainable
tourism development.
