The department said 12

The Thanh Hoa-Bangkok route aims to help popularize tourist
attractions in Thanh Hoa and neighboring areas such as Sam Son beach, Ho
Dynasty Citadel, Tam Coc-Bich Dong, and FLC Samson Beach and Golf Resort, the
department noted.
Tho Xuan is one of the
airports with the fastest growth rates in Vietnam and is expected to serve 1
million passengers in 2017, about ten times more than when it became
operational in 2013.
The provincial
administration is asking the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of National
Defense to suggest Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc adjust the airport’s
planning to develop this port of entry into an international airport.
Vice Chairman of the
provincial People’s Committee Le Thi Thin said local authorities will continue
providing favorable conditions for Vietravel to operate more Thanh Hoa-Bangkok
flights.
She added the province is
going to improve infrastructure, equipment and personnel quality while
diversifying services at Tho Xuan airport to better serve passengers. It will
also work with big companies to launch charter flights to China, the Republic
of Korea, Singapore, Chinese Taiwan, Laos and Japan.
