HBO – Mai Chau district of northern mountainous Hoa Binh province welcomed over 247,000 tourists, including 66,074 foreigners, in the first nine months of 2017. The district earned more than 64 billion VND from tourism services in the period.
Tourism products which bear cultural identities of the Thai
ethnic minority group in Lac hamlet (Chieng Chau-Mai Chau) are always
attractive to both domestic and foreign visitors.
To fulfill the targets of serving 310,000 tourists and raking in
90 billion VND in revenue in 2017, Mai Chau has deployed a series of activities
to attract more visitors.
Notably, from October 1-3, Mai Chau is selected to host the
national festival of outstanding community-based tourism villages with a string
of interesting activities expected to draw numerous tourists from inside and
outside the country.
The district has to date completed all necessary preparations to
successfully organise this important event./.
