(HBO) - Visiting Muong Thang land, there is a tourism destination that cannot be missed, the cave complex of Dau Rong Mountain. The cave of Dau Rong Mountain is located in zone 3, Cao Phong town (Cao Phong), about 15 km along Highway 6 from the center of Hoa Binh city. The cave complex of Dau Rong Mountain was granted a certificate of tge national relics by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2012. There are a lot of beautiful caves linked together, forming a wonderful complex of creation…It has brought a great experience for the guests throughout the country.


The beauty of the of Dau Rong Mountain cave complex in zone 3, Cao Phong town (Cao Phong) has been attracting tourists’ visit and exploration. 

The range of Dau Rong Mountain stretches like a giant dragon prostrating, creating a wall in the southeast for Cao Phong town. This mountain range is more than 1km long, approximately 200m high above the foot of the mountain. The two dragon's eyes are the two lakes flowing from the mountain bed, bringing the abundant aquatic resources, irrigating the main products, the sugarcane and the oranges of the local people. The beautiful caves link together to form a landscape complex with a world of shimmering stalactites. Each cave is a wonderful wonder of the creator, bestowing to Cao Phong land. They are Hoa Son Thach cave, Khong Day cave, Phong Son cave, Nhan Long Son cave, Nuoc cave, Thanh Thuy cave. The caves are quite evenly distributed in the mountain range, the distance between the points is only a few hundred meters. Each cave inspires the visitors’ curiosity to explore more. 

Coming to Long Son Cave, which is located in the southeast of Dau Rong mountain range, about 50m from Khong Day cave to the northwest. The cave is located at an altitude of 40m above the foot of the mountain. It is 150m long. The cave door is wide and airy, and the natural light penetrates for about 10m. Here, we can admire the soft and flexible lines of the stone pillars, stalagmites, standing majestically in the heart of the cave, which is as an eternal symbol of the past. Coming to Phong Son cave, which is located halfway up to the mountain, there is a way to the cave through the forest canopy, along the craggy cliffs. Coming near to the cave entrance, the first thing we can feel is a very strong wind from the heart of the mountain, which is somewhat cold from the cave entrance, dispelling all the heat and fatigue on the way. This is called the wind cave with fresh air, creating the vitality, the vital energy, and the refresh for visitors. 

Coming to Nuoc Cave, there is a cave door close to the ground facing the northwest. The cave is 400m long. The cave's bed is a stream of cool and clear water, flowing downhill non-stop from the mountain bed. To explore the whole cave, we have to go by small boat, gently floating, which is not easy for anyone to forget because of the beauty of the cave, a strange and vivid beauty with flocks of bats residing and wrapping in groups. In particular, Hoa Son Thach cave is the highest cave in the relic complex of Dau Rong Mountain, which is at an altitude of nearly 200m above the foot of the mountain. Hoa Son Thach Cave has a length of 500m and it is divided into 5 main rooms, each of which has its own attractive beauty. The first one is like a royal garden where the brilliant flowers have been skillfully planted, creating a fairy tale about the eternal love of the couples. The second one is like a point connecting the heaven and the earth. The third one has a lake surface of clear blue water all year round. The forth one has been endowed the rock formations with many beauties and different shapes... Hoa Son Thach cave is one of the longest and most beautiful dry caves. Entering the cave, visitors will be overwhelmed by the whole forest of stalactites racing to bloom. The deeper you enter the cave, the wider the cave’s bed is, and many stone pillars protrude... 

In addition, in Thanh Thuy, there is clear water in the underground geyser. In the high water season, the water in the cave rises, and visitors cannot enter. As soon as you step down, there is a beautiful scene in front of your eyes. Looking to the right from the rough and stiff cave wall, visitors can see a whole white waterfall as if it is flowing into the cave’s bed. On the left-hand side there are the stalactites dyed gray because of the time. They are solid and strong like the musketeers guarding... Anyone who has once explored the cave complex of Dau Rong mountain will never forget this wonderful experience.
