(HBO) – As of the late 2020, Da Bac district recorded 18 projects, five of them in lakeside areas were approved by the provincial People’s Committee, notably the Robinson natural tourist area, the Mai Da resort in Tien Phong commune, Vay Nua ecological resort in Vay Nua commune, the afforestation and eco-tourism project in Hien Luong commune.
Several firms are attracting capital for tourism development in Tien Phong commune, Da Bac district.
Nguyen Van Toan, head of the district Office of Culture-Sports said on August 1, 2016, the Prime Minister issued the Decision No.1528/QD-TTg on the master plan on the development of Hoa Binh Lake national tourist site in Hoa Binh province till 2030. Initially, new tours and destinations were formed, making it easier for firms to invest in tourism, especially in the area.
Thanks to support of the Action on Poverty organisation, community tourist areas were established in the communes of Hien Luong, Cao Son and Tien Phong, thus bringing major income to residents. At Coconut island eco-tourism area in Vay Nua commune, the district People’s Committee held a conference promoting investment in tourism and agriculture, drawing 45 enterprises in and outside the province and over 400 delegates. Accordingly, 16 areas attracted investment, signed memoranda of understanding with nine investors at an initial cost of over 2 trillion VND. During the 2015-2020 period, the provincial and district budgets as well as national target programmes assisted in infrastructure in service of tourism in eight communes with a total capital of hundreds of billions VND, including five lakeside communes of Cao Son, Hien Luong, Vay Nua, Tien Phong and Dong Ruong.
In order to develop tourism in the district and lakeside area in particular for coming years, the district improved the quality of new tourism products, offered all possible support for firms to survey and invest in tourism, pooled the involvement of resources and economic sectors to create new developments. At the same time, the district popularised festivals, tourist landmarks and resources on the mass and social media as well as existing potentials and strengths of local tourist projects to investors and economic groups at home and abroad. It also called on local residents to uphold and preserve national cultural identity, developed tourism in combination with preserving natural landscapes and architectures, adopted green and sustainable tourism standards, built new tourism products, and paid attention to infrastructure and technical conditions in destinations with the private involvement./.

The 2024 Tour Guide Competition was held in the framework of the Hoa Binh Provincial Culture and Tourism Week, bringing together 13 contestants from seven districts and cities to celebrate the vital role of tour guides as cultural ambassadors.
