1.95 billion VND and Thuong Communal House in Yen Tri commune with a budget of
about 900 million VND from contributions from local people.

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected the district’s development of
tourism since 2020. The total number of visitors to the district last year was
5,961, reaching 12.2 percent of the year’s year while the revenue decreased
sharply to only 3.2 billion VND, accounting for 26.67 percent of the plan. The
prolonged pandemic has resulted in a standstill of tourism activities this
year.
To ensure the quality and create professionalism in organisation of tourism
activities, the district sets up an inspection team in the field of culture and
regularly examines the activities of the relics’ management boards, Hong said.
Students are dispatched to participate in training programmes, fostering
professional tourism activities organised by the Department of Culture, Sports
