(HBO) – With the readiness to resume tourism in the spirit of safely and flexibly adapting to and effectively controlling COVID-19, the province has issued the message of "Hoa Binh, safe tourist destination - full experience” for 2022.

Serena Resort Kim Boi in Kim Boi district launches a travel stimulus programme as soon as it resumed operations on March 5.

Tourist sites in Hoa Binh take the nationwide reopening of borders to international travellers as a golden opportunity for recovering their operations. Capitalising on the province’s advantages of the proximity to Hanoi capital and wide COVID-19 vaccination coverage, they are launching many attractive tourism products.

The sites have adopted the safe adaptation strategy, with 5K (khau trang - wearing face masks, khu khuan - disinfection, khai bao - making health declaration, khoang cach - keeping distance, khong tu tap - no gatherings) being the most important principle. They have also taken proactive steps to gear up personnel, upgrade infrastructure, and improve competitiveness and service quality. In addition, many stimulus activities have been carried out such as offering some free services and reducing prices.

On March 25, the provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Airlines signed a minutes of agreement on comprehensive cooperation for 2022 - 2025 so as to boost tourism, investment, trade, aviation, and destination promotion.

In the second quarter, the administration of Hoa Binh is set to launch a travel stimulus programme and invite travel companies, along with central and local media outlets, to come to introduce local attractions and stimulus packages. Besides, tourism promotion will be implemented in tandem with communications about coming events, such as the 30th Hoa Binh Newspaper Cup cross-country race, the second half-marathon race, and cycling races of the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).

Some district-level localities have also registered to hold different events for attracting holidaymakers.

Nguyen Van Toan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said to carry out tourism activities on schedule and in an effective manner, relevant agencies should pay due attention to advertising stimulus programmes; localities proactively make organisation plans for cultural, sports, and tourism events; and businesses play an active part in stimulus activities, improve service quality and professionalism, and comply with anti-COVID-19 regulations./.
