(HBO) – Many investors have shown interest in tourism development projects in Luong Son district, whose tourism destinations have become more and more popular with visitors in recent times.

Tourist attractions of the district were popularised in a vivid manner through a programme to stimulate tourism demand held in La Saveur resort in Nhuan Trach commune in mid-April. On the occasion, representatives from travel agencies, and central and local reporters joined a fam trip to some tourism sites in the locality, opening up opportunities for cooperation in tourism development.

Besides Phuong Hoang (Phoenix) Golf Course in Lam Son commune, many new tourist areas and attractions in the district have recently been put into operation. The People’s Committee of the district always creates favourable conditions for businesses and the community to invest in tourism development projects in the locality.

There are several tourism projects currently under the process of research, survey, and investment, including Paradise Hoa Binh culture – tourism – entertainment - resort complex in Cao Son commune; Nang waterfall eco-resort and Legacy Hill resort in Cu Yen commune; Legendary Culture Luong Son complex in Cao Son, Cu Yen, Tan Vinh communes; Ngan Pho ecological urban area in Lam Son commune; Sun Blush Resort, Dong Truong Son high-class resort ecological urban area and Green Life agriculture tourist area in Tan Vinh commune; Ivory resort in Lam Son commune; and La Saveur resort in Nhuan Trach commune.

According to Bui Quoc Hoan, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Luong Son district, the locality has focused on organising traditional festivals, and taken measures to preserve the traditional cultural heritage of the Muong ethnic group and diversify traditional culture tourism products.

Attention has been paid to building tourism brands and developing craft villages in connection with the One Village One Product programme, Hoan said, adding that the district’s tourism portal at Dulichluongson.hoabinh.gov.vn regularly provides news and information about tourism development orientations and strategies.

According to the official, the district continues to leverage its potential and advantages to develop attractive destinations, thus luring more investors for tourism development, especially sports, entertainment, cultural tourism, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism. It will also prioritise tourism infrastructure development, and take solutions to better the quality of tourism products and services.

Last year, Luong Son welcomed over 100,000 visitors, including 47,000 foreigners, earning 300 billion VND (nearly 12.8 million USD). In the first quarter of 2023, the locality served 28,000 foreign arrivals and 25,000 domestic ones, raking in 175 billion VND in revenue./.
