On November 5th, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics HCMA)coordinated with the Party Committee of Hoa Binh province to organize a seminar ON the topic.
"Sustainable tourism development in Da Bac district today”. There was the attendance of Professor, Doctor Le Van Loi, the Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. There was also the attendance of more than 90 scientists, scholars and managers from Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province; the Party Committee, the People's Committee of Da Bac, Mai Chau, Tan Lac districts; the Provincial Political School; Moc Chau district of Son La province; Tay Bac University; Hanoi University of Culture, Hanoi National Economics University, the National Tourism Administration, the Party Committees, the People's Committees of the communes, the tourism associations, the representatives of tourism businesses in the district.

The Organizing Committee of the conference received 56 presentations from the scientists and the managers from many different units and localities. The content focuses on clarifying the potentials, advantages, the current situation and solution orientation... on the sustainable tourism development in Da Bac district. Many presentations shared the international and domestic experiences on the sustainable tourism development. Through the presentations, the scientists focused on the proposals and recommendations to the district to promote communication work and raise the awareness for the community about their role in the sustainable tourism development. It is necessary to expand the exploitation of the international and domestic tourism markets. It is also imporrtant to focus on developing the diverse and rich tourism products of high quality. A set of standards for the quality of tourism products needs developing, the district's development planning needs the effectively implementing. The social resources need to be mobilized and attracted to invest in developing a system of tourism facilities and techniques, including accommodation establishments, entertainment facilities, and transportation infrastructure systems serving tourism. It is necessary to strengthen training to improve the quality of human resources and protect the ecological environment...
Making a speech at the conference, Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that Da Bac district with many attractive natural landscapes and unique cultural identities is a favorable condition to develop the products of community tourism in a sustainable manner. In recent times, the tourism activities have not been worthy of their potential and advantages. There are no attractive tourism products to prolong the stay of tourists. The tourism models are still small, lacking connection and unity; they have not yet paid attention to developing tourism associated with preserving and developing the traditional cultural values and environmental protection, etc. Based on the suggestions, recommendations and solutions of the scientists and the managers, it is necesary to have the timely planning and implementation to the promote tourism in Da Bac district to develop in a sustainable direction, thereby, it helps contribute to building Da Bac district to be prosperous and developed.

The 2024 Tour Guide Competition was held in the framework of the Hoa Binh Provincial Culture and Tourism Week, bringing together 13 contestants from seven districts and cities to celebrate the vital role of tour guides as cultural ambassadors.
