Hoa Binh province is preparing for the Hoa Binh Culture - Tourism Week which will be held at the Hoa Binh Square in mid-November, heard a meeting held by the provincial People’s Committee on May 30.

Themed "The Muong land enters the festival”, the event will feature a show of local ethnic costumes, a culinary festival, a tour guide contest and an art photo exhibition.
The opening ceremony will be attended by leaders of the Party, State, ministries, sectors, eight provinces engaging in the expanded northwestern tourism cooperation programme, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Toan, who is also head of the organising board, said that the Hoa Binh Culture - Tourism Week aims at introducing local tourism potential and cultural heritage of local ethnic groups, attracting investment for socio-economic development, and preserving the values of the local traditional culture.
He asked the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to collect opinions from competent sides to develop a plan for the event, and assign specific tasks to its members.
Meanwhile, the Department of Information and Communications was requested to prepare a press meeting one month prior to the event.
