The survey on selecting and developing the new tourism products and tours.
On September 27th and 28th, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism collaborated with Hanoi Unesco Travel Club to organize a survey program to select and develop the new tourism products and tours that highlight the unique features of the lake region in Da Bac district. The survey group included the experts for developing the tourism product, the members of the Vietnam Travel Club, the Vietnam Travel Association, the representatives from businesses, travel companies, domestic and international tourism operators, and media agencies from both inside and outside the province.

tourism companies were exploring the community tourism site in Ke Village, Hien
Luong Commune.

Vay Nua Commune (Da Bac).
selecting the
itineraries focused on the routes and destinations prioritized for tourism
development around the lake area in Hoa Binh, the survey team visited several
destinations: Xoan Retreat, Mo Village, Hien Luong Eco, and the homestay in Ke
Village, Hien Luong Commune; the tourism site on Dua Island, Vay Nua Commune;
and the community tourism households in Doan Ket Village and Maida Lodge in
Tien Phong Commune.
Through the
survey and experiences, the members of the team highly appreciated the tourism
development potential of the district, especially in resort and community
tourism. They also provided some feedback and suggestions for the destinations
and localities on how to exploit these opportunities best and create attractive
tourism products for the sustainable development. The recommendations included
focusing on preserving the cultural identity, maintaining the pristine natural
landscape, and developing the products that meet the needs of the specific
customer groups. They also noted the need to address the issues such as
insufficient infrastructure investment and a lack of professional expertise...
The tourism
businesses and travel agencies expressed particular interest in the
destinations within the tourism area within Hoabinh lake in Da Bac district.
They committed to increasing support for promoting and introducing visitors,
especially during off-peak seasons.
The feedback
from the survey team was acknowledged by the Department of Culture, Sports, and
Tourism and the People's Committee of Da Bac district, who will continue to
refine the tourism products and improve the infrastructure such as
transportation, electricity, communication, and ports to promote the
development of tourism in Hoa Binh, particularly the Hoa Binh lake area.
Hoa Binh province’s rich natural and cultural resources position it as a prime location for developing community-based tourism (CBT). In recent years, support from central and provincial policies, as well as assistance from non-governmental organisations, have encouraged local ethnic minority and mountainous communities to actively engage in the sector.
Van Son Commune, Tan Lạc district, Hoa Binh province also known as "Cloud Valley," boasts a cool climate, stunning natural landscapes, and majestic scenery. Visitors who have been to this place should make a stop at Chien Hamlet to experience a lot of fascinating things and feel the friendly, warmth of the Muong ethnic people.
Thanks to the effective exploitation of natural landscape and the cultural diversity of ethnic minorities, Hoa Binh province has become an attractive destination for tourists seeking experiences and exploration.
The Department of Cultural Heritage has just coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province to organize a training on implementing the model of the cultural heritage connected in the cultural tourism journey in Cao Phong and Lac Son districts.
The Sung village in Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, is endowed with pristine natural landscape, and Dao Tien ethnic minority community in the village preserves rich cultural heritage, including traditional housing, clothing, language, scripts, customs, and daily life practices. Since the community-based tourism model was introduced in the locality, these traditional cultural values have been further preserved and promoted.
