(HBO) – The kindergarten of Thanh Nong commune in Lac Thuy district has just received a certificate recognising that it has meet the national standards of Level Two.

Representatives from the People’s Committee of Lac Thuy district congratulated teachers and children of the kindergarten on receiving the certificate.

Over the past five years, teachers and staff of Thanh Nong kindergarten have worked hard to complete their tasks, fulfilling and surpassing all targets assigned by the locality and the sector.

Currently, the Thanh Nong kindergarten has 34 management officials, teachers and staff who are highly qualified. It is serving 450 children divided into 15 classes in five facilities. They are classified in ages and receiving proper programmes, with 97 percent of children of nursery group attending the classes regularly and 100 percent of children at the age of 5 completing the pre-school education programme.

The rate of children with good health has increased through the years, and the number of malnutrition and stunned children decreased.

At the same time, the school has made good performance in calling for the engagement of the society in education by encouraging families, the community and enterprises to donate working days and money to construct playground, kitchen and surrounding walls in its facility, with the total value of nearly 250 million VND.

Recognizing the school’s efforts and the support of the local administration in building infrastructure for the school, on June 19, the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hoa Binh province signed Decision 1439 to recognise the Thanh Nong pre-school as a national standard school at Level Two.
