The Hoa Binh Newspaper is published six times a week, with 156 issues in the first six months of the year. The number of pages of the newspaper’s Sunday edition has been increased from 8 to 12 since January 1, 2017.

On the orientation for the time ahead, the Secretary stressed that the newspaper should continue to perform its functions and assigned tasks.  He required the newspaper to pay attention to news for foreign services, open new columns, participate in the "Gold Hammer and Sickle” press contest by the Party, and launch writing competitions on start-ups and innovative start-ups, in order to contribute to successfully implementing of the resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress and promoting effectiveness of local enterprises and cooperatives.

The newspaper should consider collaboration with central press agencies to better cover the situation in the province and guide local opinions, while expanding coverage of the online version to promote the province’s image, helping attract investment and develop tourism, he added.

The provincial Party leader also told the newspaper to fight against "peaceful evolution” schemes and activities by hostile forces.

He also underscored the importance of increasing reporters’ income and implementing good royalty conditions and paper distribution.

Secretary Tinh asked the newspaper to draft a plan on the establishment of a printing factory. He instructed the provincial Party Committee’s Information and Education Commission to set up a mechanism to buy the Party newspaper, and to hold an annual press gathering on June 21 starting this year.
