(HBO) - The urbanisation rate in Hoa Binh province had reached 25 percent as of the end of the first quarter of 2020, according to the provincial Department of Construction.
Despite
being invested, the influence of Hoa Binh city on the Northwestern region and the
Hanoi capital region is not much. Hoa Binh city has yet to uphold its role as centre
city in the region.
This
is the result of implementing Resolution No. 830/NQ-UBTVQH14 on arranging district-
and commune-level administrative units.
Accordingly, the whole natural area of 20,492ha with a population of 34,044 of Ky
Son district was merged into Hoa Binh city. Three new wards were established, turning
Hoa Binh city into an administrative unit with 10 wards and nine communes.
Luong
Son district was recognised as the locality meeting the criteria for the fourth-grade urban area by the Ministry of
Construction.
The urban population of Da Bac town increased by 2,125 people after
a part of Tu Ly commune was merged, while the entire natural area and
population of Ha Bi and Kim Binh communes were merged to Bo town (Kim Boi
district)./.
