(HBO) - The Farmers' Association of Hoa Binh province and the provincial Post Office have coordinated to organise a workshop to support farming households in selling their agricultural products on e-commerce platforms.


An overview of the workshop.

The workshop aimed to connect farming households with e-commerce platforms to promote their products, expand markets and encourage consumption of farm produce. It also helped prevent goods redundancy at harvest time, stabilise prices and promote the development of the digital agricultural economy.

The workshop approved a draft plan to support connecting farming households with e-commerce platforms to promote the development of the digital agricultural economy in the province for 2021-2025 period.

Accordingly, the Farmers Association and the provincial Post Office, in coordination with related agencies, will carry out the implementation based on their functions and tasks. They will focus on assisting farming households to produce products with good quality, popularizing State’s mechanisms, policies and laws on supporting farming households on e-commerce platforms, promoting the development of the digital agricultural economy. The coordination in the implementation of policies and programmes on digital transformation in agriculture will also be included.

Participants at the workshop discussed and contributed ideas to effectively assist farming households in selling their products on e-commerce platforms. In the near future, the two units will coordinate with three e-commerce platforms including Postmart.vn (Vietnam Post Corporation); Voso.vn (Viettel Post Corporation) and Sendo.vn (FPT Corporation).

Previously, the provincial Farmers’ Association had organized courses on how to use the software on the management of its staff and members for its chapters at districts.

The trainees were guided to practice how to access the software system and use the software's functions including managing the organisation system of the association, officials, members, farmers, entering a new profile and declaration of changes. Thereby, it helps to make the management of the association more convenient and effective./.
