(HBO) – The Hoa Binh Power Company (PC Hoa Binh) has devised plans in management, operation, inspection and improvement of the provincial electrical grid to ensure stable power supply during the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

During the late months of 2021, PC Hoa Binh inspected the province’s electrical grid and handled problems to guarantee stable and safe supply during the 2022 Tet festival.

To improve the quality of power supply, PC Hoa Binh over the years has rolled out concerted measures to bolster electrical infrastructure investment. In 2021, power companies built 77 new transformers to mitigate the risk of electric overload.

Deputy Director of PC Hoa Binh Luong Van Phuong said electricity demand increases before and during Tet. Therefore, since last months of 2021, the company had asked its affiliates to devise plans for stable power supply, especially during Tet.

The units were requested to appoint staff to keep watch during holidays and devise scenarios to handle incidents, as well as prepare necessary equipment.

PC Hoa Binh ordered no disruption in power supply as well as outage between January 30 and February 3, except for incident response.

Units must prepare spare devices, fuel, communication methods and vehicles for prompt actions in case incidents arise.

The remote operation centre was asked to develop a power supply plan across the province so as to ensure flexibility in the work during Tet holidays.

With thorough preparation, Phuong underlined that PC Hoa Binh will ensure stable and safe power supply for local residents during Tet./.
