(HBO) - The People's Committee of Lac Son district held a conference to evaluate the Department and District Competitiveness Index (DDCI) in 2022, deploying the tasks and solutions to improve competitiveness ability in 2023.


The appropriate authorities were discussing the tasks and solutions to improve district’s competitiveness aility.

The year of 2022 is the second year that the province has implemented the DDCI at the district and city levels and with the departments, agencies and sectors. Lac Son district has an average DDCI component score of 7.44 points, decreasing 0.9 points compared to that of 2021, ranking 7th out of the 10 districts and the city; 2 ranks lower than that in 2021. There are 3 sub-indexes higher than the provincial average, including the quality of public services and "One-stop” department, the cost of the administrative procedures and the actual effectiveness law enforcement, legal institutions and security and order.

At the conference, the appropriate authorities, the communes and the town assessed, analyzed and clarified the limitations, the weaknesses and the responsibilities of each for 9 district-level DDCI component. At the same time, they proposed a number of solutions and goals to improve the competitiveness ability: The authorities assume and coordinate with relevant units and localities to improve and raise the cost indicators entering the market and licensing activities, trying from 9th to 6th rank of the 10 districts and the city; the land access index from 4th to 3rd; the index of the local government dynamism from 6th to 4th; the quality index of the public services and the One-Stop Department from 4th to 3rd; the informal cost index from 9th to 6th.
