Creativity, professionalism, and constant innovation…are the spirits being widely spread across the factories and the workshops in the enterprises and industrial zones throughout the province. The quality and quantity of the workforce have improved with the specialized training to meet job requirements. Numerous initiatives have been applied in the production and business processes, boosting the "Excellent Labor, Creative Labor” movement, benefiting businesses, and contributing to local socio-economic development.

The employees at Midori Apparel Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Hoa Binh (Luong Son Industrial Zone, Luong Son District) have been actively improved production processes to enhance productivity and product quality.

My first impression when meeting Mr. Nguyen The Tham, the Deputy Head of the Mechanical Equipment Department and the Chairman of the Trade Union at Midori Apparel Vietnam Co., Ltd., Hoa Binh (Luong Son Industrial Zone, Luong Son District), is his enthusiasm, passion and responsibility towards his work. Having been with the company for nearly 10 years, Mr. Tham is always exploring and innovating to help reduce the production costs, improve labor efficiency, and boost production and business. Notably, his projects, such as "Improving the button press machine for using the seated sewing line to a machine that can be used in the standing sewing line” and "Improving energy-saving machines to reduce the product costs”, have saved nearly 1 billion VND for the company.

Mr. Tham says: "Every technical improvement is the tireless effort, passion, and responsibility of the workers, contributing to improving the production processes. When applied in practice, these improvements have yielded the practical results. The joy from this motivates me and my colleagues to try harder every day. The sustainable development of the business means better living standards with the increased incomes for employees”.

Recognizing the importance of science and technology, many businesses in the province have recently focused resources on investing in and upgrading the advanced machinery systems to meet production and business demands. To help the employees quickly adapt to and master the technology, the companies have organized the training sessions to improve their technical skills. They also support the employees with time and funding to promote the initiatives and technical improvements. In addition, the employers organize the training sessions to update the emlpoyees' knowledge, enabling them to master the production processes and familiarize themselves with the new machine technologies, enhancing creativity at work. Annually, over 20,000 workers are sent for training and skill enhancement, which has improved the professional skills and competencies of the workforce, motivating them to enthusiastically contribute and maximize creativity. More and more exemplary workers are emerging and passionate about labor, creativity, and dedication to their assigned tasks.

In 2024, the Provincial Labor Federation issued the programs and plans associated with the year's theme, "Innovation, Creativity, and Competing to Implement the Resolutions of the 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union”, in celebration of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union. The key focus is on the "Excellent Labor, Creative Labor”, "Excellent Advisors, Good Services”, "High Productivity, Good Quality”, and "Green - Clean – Beautiful” movements. Through these movements, in the first six months of 2024, 3,264 initiatives were recognized; 35 trade union members were honored by the Provincial People's Committee as THE outstanding science and technology intellectuals of Hoa Binh Province in 2024; and three projects were proposed to be celebrated in honor of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, the chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, states: "Promoting the good traditions of the Vietnamese working class, the province's workforce continues to grow in both quality and quantity. The outstanding achievements of the employees have further affirmed their important role in the businesses and units. The provincial trade union always encourages the workforce to use their intellect, promoting dynamism, creativity, and competitiveness in labor and production. We urge all levels of the trade unions and the business community to support and create the favorable conditions for the employees to maximize their abilities and strengths in various fields. It is essential to promptly recognize and commend the collectives and individuals with the outstanding achievements in production and business competitions. Thereby, it helps successfully complete the tasks of the socio-economic development, meeting the demands of the country's industrialization and modernization”.
