Recognizing the role and responsibility of the trade union as a vital link between businesses and employees, the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Zones has recently focused on renewing its activities, centering them around the local needs. This effort not only fosters the stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises but it also strengthens the employees' trust, contributing to the union's ongoing development.

The leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation are visiting and presenting gifts to the children of the employees at Sankoh Vietnam Co., Ltd. (in the Industrial Zone on the left bank of the Da River - Hoa Binh City).

One of the most practical activities is the "Union Meal”, which reaffirms the trade union's responsibility in caring for its members and employees, addressing their everyday needs such as meals. In August, the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Zones directed the grassroots trade unions to collaborate with the businesses to organize these "Union Meals”. Over 2,600 union members and employees from five grassroots unions have participated so far. The meals adhered to food safety standards, offering diverse and nutritious menus. Nearly 110 million VND was raised, with the highest meal cost at 85,000 VND per person at Almine Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, an employee at Bandai Vietnam Co., Ltd., shared, "Although it’s just a meal, my colleagues and I are very happy to receive the attention from the company's leadership and the grassroots union. Our daily meals are already substantial and meet the standards, the "Union Meal'” offers more food and includes extra dessert options. I hope this program continues and becomes more regular”.

the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Zones currently serves over 18,000 workers and employees, with nearly 17,000 union members across 45 grassroots unions. the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Zones has ramped up its legal education efforts to help employees understand their rights and responsibilities, ensuring the compliance with laws, the company rules, and the local regulations. In the first half of the year, there were no reported issues of wage or social insurance arrears, nor any workplace accidents in the industrial zones. 100% of the union members and employees were educated on the party policies, state laws, and labor-related regulations, with 142.8% participating in skills training. 100% of the grassroots unions actively participated in the activities celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Moreover, 33 collective labor agreements have been signed with the improved conditions for workers.

In the celebration of the 95th anniversary, the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Zones organized various meaningful programs and activities aimed at the grassroots level, promoting a spirit of "Excellent and Creative Employees” in businesses while enhancing the cultural and spiritual life for employees. The notable events include employee’s dance competition, sports tournaments, and recognition of the outstanding trade union officials in the industrial zones. The union’s initiatives have ignited the positive changes in the quality of its programs, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of competition, responsibility and innovation among employees, particularly through the movements like "Excellent and Creative Employees”, "High Productivity, Good Quality”, and "Green, Clean, Beautiful, and Safe Labor”.

According to Mr. Le Dieu Hoan, the Vice President of the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Zones, the labor relations in the province’s industrial zones have remained harmonious and stable, with no major disputes arising this year. Moving forward, the Trade Union of the Provincial Industrial Zones will continue to place the employees’ benefits at the center of its activities, focusing on the meaningful programs that enhance employees’ material and spiritual lives. The union will also work with the relevant authorities to monitor the policy implementation, hold meetings and dialogues with the employees to address concerns at the grassroots level and ensure the employees' peace of mind. This will help employees contribute to business performance while reinforcing the union’s role in supporting the sustainable business growth and the local socio-economic development.
