(HBO) – Local authorities and residents of HoaBinh province enjoyed celebrations in mid-November to mark the province’s 130th founding anniversary, 25 years of re-establishment and to accept the first-class Independence Order.
Thousands of people attended Cao Phong Orange Festival, the inauguration of
the Hoa Binh 3 Bridge and a mountainous market.
They were also enthralled by a fashion show showcasing traditional Muong
ethnic minority costumes, music performances alongside exhibitions on the
province’s socio-economic development and local flora and fauna.
Two highlights were the second Gong Festival of the Muong ethnic minority
people, the largest-ever in Vietnam
featuring 1,600 performers and a celebration ceremony with live musical
performances reflecting the province’s history, victories and development on
November 19.

These days, offices, all roads, and residential areas in Hoa Binh province are decorated with flags, flowers, banners, hoardings, and bright slogans to welcome National Day on September 2. Since the passing of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on July 19, offices and private houses in Hoa Binh city have flown flags half-mast to commemorate the Party chief.
After 30 years since its establishment (August 1st, 1994 - August 1st, 2024), Cao Phong town has made significant progress, from a mountainous agricultural town facing many difficulties to becoming the political, economic and social center of the district, aiming to build a civilized, modern urban area, which is rich in the cultural identity.
In his 14 years as the leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited Hoa Binh province three times. Each locality, unit, and enterprise visited by the General Secretary, and every household and wounded soldier kindly encouraged and given gifts by the late leader always remember and deeply keep in their mind the feelings of their beloved leader.
