Hoa Binh allocated over 30 trillion VND (nearly 1.18 billion USD) to develop infrastructure systems in ethnic minority and mountainous areas during 2019 - 2024. Priority was given to transport and irrigation infrastructure; markets; schools; medical stations; communal houses; and power grid, telecommunication, radio, and television systems.
Transport
infrastructure in Nhuan Trach commune (Luong Son district) has been upgraded,
facilitates socio-economic development.
So far, all communes in Hoa Binh have asphalted or concreted roads running to
communal centers; and all hamlets have roads linking to village centers, with
95.7% having paved roads suitable for automobiles.
More than 1,900 irrigation works and systems have been constructed, including
over 3,723 kilometers of canals, ensuring adequate water supply for
agricultural production. The dyke system has also been upgraded and expanded to
effectively prevent flooding.
All communes in the province are connected to the national power grid, with
99.86% of households in ethnic minority and mountainous areas having access to
the national grid or other power sources. Additionally, 95.9% of rural
households have access to clean and hygienic water.
The Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board held a meeting on December 9 to look into some socio-economic development issues. The event was chaired by Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.
