The national target programme on building new-style rural areas has been carried out harmoniously in Cao Phong district, giving a facelift to the locality while improving the living quality of the residents.
The community-based tourism model in Mung
hamlet, Hop Phong commune, has attracted throngs of tourists, contributing to
local socio-economic development.
To date, eight out of nine communes have
achieved 19 out of 20 criteria for new-style rural area status, including Dung
Phong, Thu Phong, Nam Phong, Tay Phong, Bac Phong, Hop Phong, Binh Thanh, and
Thung Nai. Thach Yen commune, currently meeting 16 criteria, is actively
working toward certification in 2025 through new economic models and
community-based tourism initiatives.
According to the head of the district’s agriculture
and rural development Bui Van Dan, the district will urge all communes to step
up the implementation of the national target program, ensuring the
sustainability of the eight certified communes while supporting Thach Yen’s
progress.
With the engagement of the whole political
system and local people, the new-style rural area building has yielded positive
results, helping improve the material and spiritual life and bolster the local
socio-economy.
Cao Phong has been a powerhouse in citrus fruit
plantation with 971.55 hectares for the 2024-2025 season. Particularly, orange
orchards span some 715 hectares, expected to yield 20,348 tonnes. The
locality’s agricultural portfolio also includes mandarins, lemons, and
pomelos.
In Hoa Binh province, 11 traditional craft villages with more than 400 small-scaled production households have put in place a clean and green production model, establishing new standards for sustainable development. Waste collection sites and wastewater treatment facilities have been meticulously managed by local residents.
To make it easier for the residents to handle administrative procedures, Yen Bong Commune (Lac Thuy District) has identified the administrative reform as one of its key tasks. By implementing a range of synchronized solutions, the commune has seen the positive changes in the administrative reform, meeting the needs of its people.
