Luong Son district is home to 21 licensed resort, garden house projects, including nine urban infrastructure and housing and 12 resort and real estate projects. Thirteen of them are underway on the site of over 758ha, including six completed projects, three done with site clearance and the remaining projects have their ground under clearance. There are eight licensed projects which have been delayed for more than 12 months on the site of over 4,207ha.

On mineral exploitation, Luong Son records 51 valid projects, helping generating jobs for workers and contributing to State budget collection, gradually turning mining into a spearhead sector in the local economy. In 2017, mining enterprises added over 72 billion VND to the State budget.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman Quang spoke highly of State management efforts in developing infrastructure in ecological tourism urban areas and mineral mining over the past years. However, he also admitted there remains unlicensed construction of resorts, villa, garden houses and illegal mining in the locality.

He asked the district’s departments and agencies to make detailed statistics and propose solutions to reclaiming delayed projects while increasing inspection upon finding violations.

Earlier, the Chairman and members of the delegation inspected the construction of Lam Son hi-end ecological and resort urban area invested by Hoa Binh Archireenco Jsc and the implementation of directions by State management agencies in Thai Thinh Co. Ltd. stone mining company, one of the most outstanding State budget contributors in the district./.
