(HBO) – The Association for Study Encouragement of the northern province of Hoa Binh on June 20 met with journalists on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – 2018), towards the 10th year of the Day for Study Encouragement of Vietnam (October 2, 2008-2018). The meeting was attended by Tran Dang Ninh, Vice Standing Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and head of the province’s delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies.


Tran Dang Ninh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, presented the certificates of merit to organisations with great contributions to promoting communications on study encouragement.

Since the provincial Study Encouragement Association was launched 20 years ago, the press has been a force that effectively disseminates activities of study encouragement, as well as the position and role of the association among people.

Especially, the third congress of the provincial Study Encouragement Association and a ceremony marking its 20th founding anniversary were important events for the association. The success of those events was attributable to press agencies.

Media agencies not only report campaigns for study encouragement, but also reflect models of constant and life-long studying. In addition, the sector honours role models who proposed many initiatives in production and obtained success in starting their businesses, as well as outstanding learning models in families, clans, community and units, contributing to building a learning society.

Towards the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Study Encouragement Day (October 2), the Study Encouragement Association of Hoa Binh hopes that press agencies of the province and other localities will join hands with the organisation to raise public awareness of the significance of the Day.

 Addressing the event, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh instructed that the press needs to step up activities to honour and duplicate advanced models in real life, while strengthening its role in guiding
