(HBO) – A delegation of the National Assembly deputies of Hoa Binh province led by Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh has visited families who were moved to resettle in the Central Highlands provinces of Kon Tum and Gia Lai for the construction of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant decades ago.

The delegation coordinated with the NA deputies delegation of Kon Tum and Gia Lai to learn about the life of those people there from July 21 – 24.

Chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh, who is also Vice Secretary of the Hoa Binh Party Committee, visited Hoa Binh-born people who are now residing in the Central Highland provinces.

They visited eight villages across Chu Prong district, Gia Lai and another in Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province where they were given updates about the local socio-economic development and security-defence situation. They also spent time to listen to people’s opinions and proposals.

The lives of local residents and those moving from Hoa Binh have been much improved thanks to infrastructure development and provision of soft loans in the two provinces. Most of the villages where the Hoa Binh-born families live have been awarded the "cultured village” title. Their children have better conditions for education, many of who graduated from colleges and universities and got a good job.

On the behalf of the delegation, Ninh congratulated the resettled households for what they have achieved in life and gave them an overview of the socio-economic and security-defence situation in Hoa Binh.

He replied the people’s inquiries, saying Hoa Binh will work alongside Gia Lai and Kon Tum to consider their proposals and promptly solve their issues. He expected this move will allow them to keep their mind on production and work to develop the new hometowns.

The delegation took the occasion to present 13 gift packages, worth 47 million VND each, to the nine villages and four families of war invalids and martyrs there./.
