HBO – The emulation block of centrally-run enterprises in Hoa Binh province has handed over a charitable house to Ninh Thi Lien’s family in Lac Thinh commune, Yen Thuy district.

 The emulation block of centrally-run enterprises in Hoa Binh province includes Hoa Binh Hydropower Company, Viettel Hoa Binh, Hoa Binh Power Company, Hoa Binh Post and Telecommunications Company, provincial Post Office, PetroVietnam-Hoa Binh branch, Construction and Investment joint Stock Company 222 (CEICO 222), and Hoa Binh School Books and Equipment JSC. Leaders of the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the People’s Committee of Yen Thuy district attended the hand-over ceremony.

 Ninh Thi Lien is the wife of martyr Dinh Cong Hoan who was born in 1940, joined the army in 1965 and sacrificed his life in 1970. Her family has a tradition of supporting the revolution. Her mother in law is a heroic Vietnamese mother whose three sons are martyrs. Construction on the 40sq.m charitable house started in May 2018 at a total cost of over 100 million VND, 85 million VND of which was contributed by the emulation block of centrally-run enterprises, and the remaining by the family and relatives. At the hand-over ceremony, a representative from the block presented a savings book worth 5 million VND to Ninh Thi Lien’s family. The family also received gifts from the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the People’s Committees of Yen Thuy district and Lac Thinh commune.

 The emulation block of centrally-run enterprises in Hoa Binh province, set up in 2014, has made contributions to the province’s socio-economic development. From 2016, the block began building houses for local policy beneficiaries. In 2018, it collected money to build two houses on the occasion of 71st Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947-2018). Besides Ninh Thi Lien’s family, the family of Bach Huy San (born in 1954), a war invalid of 4/4 class (24 percent disability) in Bai Chao village, Tu Son commune, Kim Boi district, also received a house. The unit has to date built eight houses for policy beneficiaries in the locality./.
