(HBO) – A delegation of the Vietnam Television (VTV) led by member of the Party Central Committee and VTV General Director Tran Binh Minh has had a working session with leaders of Hoa Binh province. At this event, the two sides inked a cooperation programme.
Hoa Binh officials at the
session included Bui Van Tinh – member of the Party Central Committee and
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Tran Dang Ninh – Vice Secretary of
the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and
head of the Hoa Binh National Assembly deputies’ delegation; Nguyen Van Quang –
Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial
People’s Committee; and Nguyen Van Chuong – Vice Chairman of the provincial
People’s Committee.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s
Committee Nguyen Van Chuong informed their guests about the local
socio-economic situation and radio-TV broadcasting activities. He asked VTV to
help its radio-TV station improve professional capacity and equipment in the
production of TV programmes.
At the meeting, participants discussed ways to
promote bilateral cooperation in the coverage of Hoa Binh’s socio-economic
situation in VTV programmes.
VTV General Director Tran Binh Minh briefed
about his station’s development. He added that TV stations should change their
mindset to improve their communication effectiveness. They need to pay
attention to modernising their equipment, developing digital television,
stepping up personnel training, and reforming their apparatus, working methods
and management. They should also enhance cooperation in producing programmes in
ethnic minority languages.
He also suggested Hoa Binh to specify the
socio-economic focuses that it wants to highlights in VTV programmes so as to
improve communication effectiveness.
VTV and the provincial People’s Committee sign the
communication cooperation plan for 2019-2020.
At the working session, Secretary of the
provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh agreed with the VTV leader about the
need to reform mindset and activities to improve the local TV station’s
communication effectiveness. He also asked for VTV’s support in the coverage of
Hoa Binh’s economic, cultural and social aspects, especially the local
investment climate, culture, nature and people, to help attract investment in
tourism, services and agriculture, which are also the strengths of Hoa Binh, on
VTV programmes.
Following the discussion, leaders of VTV and the
provincial People’s Committee signed a communication cooperation programme for
2019-2020./.
In recent years, Mai Ha commune in Mai Chau district has been making efforts to restructure its crops and livestock to improve production efficiency, enhance the quality of life, and increase income for local residents. Notably, the cultivation of watermelon in line with Vietnamese Goods Agricultural Practices (VietGAP) standards has helped local people escape poverty.
Hoa Binh province scored 43.5493 points in the 2023 Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), ranking 20th out of the 63 provinces and cities nationwide, up 23 places compared to the 2022 list. The results show people's satisfaction with the effectiveness of implementing State policies and laws, local governance, and providing public services by authorities at all levels in the province.
With the motto of "polite, dedicated, professional, and lawful,” over the years, Phu Cuong commune in Tan Lac district has gradually improved the quality of processing administrative procedures, winning high satisfaction from local people and businesses.
Stretching over 300 meters, valued at hundreds of million dong and built to the new-style rural standards, a concrete road in De hamlet, Bac Phong commune, Cao Phong district, was completed by the end of 2023 thanks to the collective contributions of armed forces at provincial and district levels coupled with the active participation of military units stationed throughout the district.
Over the years, the People’s Committee of Lac Thuy district has issued many plans and programmes to speed up the administrative reform, aiming to better serve local people and businesses.
Kim Boi district is drafting 23 planning projects which are expected to help boost the local socio-economic development, attract investors, and mobilise resources for development, said Vice chairman of the district People’s Committee Tran Tuan Son.
They include the one on Bo urban area development until 2045, 20 zoning, and 12 on rural residential areas in communes.
