As one of the grass-roots trade unions with the typical culture and sports movements, the Trade Union of Mai Chau town’s primary school has a force of young, enthusiastic, dynamic and creative union members. The cultural movement has been maintained and practiced regularly with many performances imbued with the national identity. The art programs participating in the competitions and exchanges were scripted, choreographed and organized by the teachers themselves, winning many high prizes at the art competitions and exchanges organized by the district’s union and the educational sector. The school's union members are also the core force participating in the performances at the cultural programs and events to celebrate the major local holidays.

Ms. Mai Thanh Nhan, the Chairwoman of Mai Chau Town’s Primary School shares: The characteristics of daily work are standing on the podium, making it difficult to have free time. However, the teachers take advantage of the evenings and weekends to practice. Depending on the talents and strengths, each person comes up with the ideas and gathers the union members to participate in practice. The activities contribute to promoting the vibrant movement of culture and sports in the school.

During the past term, the Confederation of Labor of Mai Chau district actively innovated its content and operating methods, focusing on improving the quality of the union activities and building a strong trade union organization. They havfe been paying attention to organizing diverse cultural and sports activities. Every year, over 95% of the Communist Youth Unions coordinate to organize sports, cultural exchanges, competitions, shows... on holidays, Tet, the anniversaries of the localities and trade unions; Over 95% of the agencies, the units and the schools meet the title of the cultural standards; 85% of the employee families reach the title of the cultural status; Many agencies, units and businesses have been recognized Committee as meeting cultural standards for 5 consecutive years by the Chairman of the Provincial People's.

Responding to the campaign ‘All people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho”, the movement of sports training has been implemented by district’s trade union at all levels with football, volleyball, badminton... Most of the agencies, units and businesses have created spaces for playground and sports activities for employees in accordance with the actual conditions at the facility. Maintaining the organization of exchange activities and sports competitions has contributed to promoting the movement of mass sports, creating the attachment and solidarity between the union members and employees throughout the district.

Along with that, the women's work is of interest to the district’s Trade Unions at all levels. The activities to care for the female employees are organized and integrated into the activities celebrating the International Women's Day, March 8, Vietnamese Family Day, June 28, Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20... in diverse forms and rich format and content. They have also been maintaining activities of giving gifts, meetings, discussions, sightseeing, exchanging learning experiences, and talking about the topics that attract the participation of a large number of female union members and workers.

Mr. Ha Cong Toan, the Chairman of the Confederation of Labor of Mai Chau district, says: To continue promoting the movement of culture and sports among the employees to spread widely and deeply, the Confederation of Labor of the district need tp strengthen the direction of the Communist Party of Vietnam to pay attention, encourage and create conditions for organizing activities, focusing on the grassroots. It is necessary to maintain the organization of useful playgrounds to attract the participation of the union members such as: art performances, sports competitions, cooking competitions... Thereby, it helps promoting the abilities and strengths of employees in all fields, improving the spiritual and cultural life. It is the basis to successfully complete tasks at the agencies, units, and enterprises to successfully implement the set socio-economic development tasks and targets.
