On the afternoon of November 16, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, held a reception for a delegation from the Indian Embassy led by Ambassador Sandeep Arya. The delegation included the chairperson of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, embassy personnel, and Indian businesses operating in Vietnam. Accompanying Long at the meeting were leaders of the provincial People's Committee and representatives from various departments and sectors.

During the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Phi Long and Indian Ambassador Arya discuss potential areas for investment and cooperation between the two sides.

Recalling the strong friendship and collaboration between Vietnam and India in recent years, Long introduced the delegation to Hoa Binh's strengths in agriculture, industry, tourism, and urban development, and its globally recognised Hoa Binh Culture. The province is currently prioritising infrastructure development, especially roads connecting to Hanoi, and industrial parks and clusters.

The Hoa Binh leader expressed his hope for support from the Indian Ambassador and businesses in fostering cooperation across fields, particularly in tourism. He assured that the province would continue administrative reforms to create favourable conditions for investors and businesses operating here.

The ambassador said India is committed to strengthening its longstanding friendship with Vietnam and expressed interest in exploring potential cooperation with Hoa Binh. The diplomat took the occasion to invite his host to visit India in the near future.

Long said he hopes the upcoming "Meet India 2024" event in Hoa Binh will play a vital role in advancing bilateral cooperation in various fields.
