(HBO) - While pork prices on the market have fallen sharply, many farmers are worried about the unstable output, wild pigs of Mr. Hoang Van Thuan, Que Su hamlet, Cao Ram Commune (Luong Son) can still be exported regularly. Not only did it drop the prices, the model of raising wild pigs has brought him the income from 500 to 600 million dongs per year.

In 2004, with the bank loan, he started the model with 5 wild pigs. He recalled: On the first day of raising pigs, I cherished them like my children. Once they were anorexically, or had an abnormal performance, I was worried all day, even one day I left my meal with my wife and children to care for pigs. Fortunately, that pig litter developed well, sold with good price, otherwise there would not be a litter of hundreds of pigs like today, because my family has no capital to invest anymore.

The model of raising wild mountainous pigs brings to Mr. Hoang Van Thuan, Que Su hamlet, Cao Ram commune (Luong Son province) with the income of 500-600 million VND / year.

More than 400 wild pigs are being hatched up by Mr. Thuan on a hill of 4 hectares, divided into 3 areas: sow area, piggy farm and pig running area. The pig running area is the largest area with more than 2 hectares surrounded with the B40 steel mesh network and concrete brick walls to avoid being gored by pigs. Being a species with wild instincts, always warying of strangers and being sensitive to noise, therefore, the pig raising area on the hill is far away from residential areas with many trees. Thanks to the semi-wild model, his wild pigs have both the characteristics of industrial pigs and wild pigs. In order for the pigs to grow well, the quality of the litter is increasing gradually, Mr. Thuan shared the secret: "It is very important to monitor each breeding pig every day. Male breeding pigs were shot labels so that I can follow and select the best breeding ones for insemination. In the recent 3 years, the litter of breeding pigs will be replaced in order to avoid inbreeding and degradation of the breed. sperm, typhoid fever ... "

With good resistance characteristics, lean meat, more lean, thicker, less fat, the quality of wild pork from his farm is far superior to the pork in the market. Having developed this model for nearly 15 years, now his pig litter has more than 400 pigs. There is an exporting output in every 8 to 10 months, especially the time next to Tet occasion, many visitors have come to the pig farm and asked but no longer for sale. At the price of 80,000 - 100,000 VND / kg, after deducting all the expenses, each year the pig farm brings back to his family about 500 – 600 million dongs. At present, his wild pork is served in many restaurants, food stores in the district and surrounding areas. Thanks to the high quality and stability for many years, products from Thuan Linh pig farm are the reliable and famous address to provide good and clean wild pork in the area.
