(HBO)- In recent years, the task of poverty reduction in Ky Son district has achieved remarkable results.


Lichi Garment Company located in Dan Ha commune (Ky Son district) has created jobs for 200 laborers, with an average income of 4.5 - 5 million VND / person / month.

 

Since the beginning of the year, the implementation of the Program for sustainable poverty reduction, the policies and regimes of the Party and the State have been done in a timely manner to the right objects, contributing to the reduction of difficulties for poor households. In implementing the Decision of the People's Committee of the province, 504 poor households were supported for Tet holiday (350,000 VND / household) with the total amount of 176.4 million VND. The district has approved, printed and distributed 6,892 health insurance cards for subjects guaranteed by the State budget. In which 1,325 health insurance cards were delivered for the objects of poor households, 2,235 cards for the ethnic minorities, 499 cards for social protection objects, 390 cards for the elderly, 826 cards for veterans, youth volunteers and Resistance activists, 757 cards for people with merit, 202 cards for near poor ones, 172 cards for children under 6 years old. 155 cases were confirmed as poor households to get the assistance of electricity bills. The households participating in the project of expanding beekeeping models in Mong Hoa commune are being continued to be guided and instructed with the bee raising techniques. Up to now, 45 poor and near poor households have received initial support so that 15 poor and near poor households have developed. The model has contributed positively to the local task of poverty reduction. In order to create conditions for poor and near poor households to have production development capital, the district has coordinated with the Social Policy Bank to check the loan projects so that the capital can be used for proper purposes and promoting efficiency.

In addition, the district also attaches importance to vocational training in connection with job creation for rural workers. The District Vocational Training Center has developed short-term and long-term vocational training plans to suit the needs of laborers. Workers themselves register the traditional occupations and traditional jobs, such as making brooms, raising animals, cultivation in accordance with the local socio-economic development. In the first 6 months of 2018, the district has organized 8 vocational training courses for rural workers with 160 participants.
