(HBO) -. The handicraft village is located along National Highway 6, in the area of Doan Ket Hamlet,which is not far from the headquarters of Lam Son Commune People's Committee (Luong Son District). Many products of handicrafts, impressive scenery stones are on the display in many production firms.


The toad work is made of precious wood in the production firm of Mr. Doan Xuan Thanh with aesthetics and high value.

 

Mr. Doan Xuan Thanh, the Head of the craft village of driftwood production and scenery stones of Lam Son said: The profession of driftwood, stone production is a special occupation, which requires passion and imagination to create the delicate products, ensuring the aesthetic requirements of customers. Driftwood and stone processing occupation has been present in Lam Son for more than 20 years. Initially, only some households displayed the stone products, the forest timber was scarce from the available materials of the local. In recent years, production firms have developed rapidly, both in terms of scale and quality of handicraft products made of wood, stumps, stones, which have been processed by the creative artists to be furniture, cabinets, shelves, mascots, etc. Those have been increasingly attracted and searched for by customers.

In 2017, the provincial People's Committee decided to set up the village of driftwood and stone processing in Lam Son. At present, there are about 10 artisans and nearly 100 skilled technical workers, creating high quality handicraft products, contributing to job creation and income generation for local people.

Products of the village of driftwood production and scenery stones of Lam Son are often participated in the fairs of the Northern provinces such as Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and some provinces in the South. Thereby these participations have been contributed to introducing, bringing products closer to customers. There are currently 53 households (mostly in Doan Ket Hamlet) who join in the processing occupation of driftwood and stone with an average income of 7 million VND / person / month, which is quite higher than the average income of the population. In addition, members want to have access to consumption market information, having a land fund to introduce products, accessing capital sources to support, develop a stable and sustainable craft village.
