(HBO) – Located on a hill in Hoa Nghia Ward, Hoa Binh City, Hoa Binh Biopharm JSC has actively applied science in agriculture, especially medicinal herb farming.
The firm was established in July 2013 and a few months later in
2014, it took a brave step to start a study on multiplying and cultivating
cordyceps on organic substances.
On April 10, 2014, it received Certificate No.1/DNKH from the
provincial Department of Science and Technology recognizing it as a company of
science and technology, the first of its kind in the province.
Since then, the department has been creating many opportunities
for the firm in its research and development.

The firm’s director Dang Thi Phuong Hao said that the company has
completed the study on multiplying and cultivating cordyceps on organic
substances in May 2015; and its findings were verified and recognised by the
provincial science council. Since then, the company produced hundreds kilogrammes
of fresh cordyceps every year to supply for the production of medicine and
supplementary foods in some domestic pharmaceutical enterprises.
Hoa Binh Biopharm also has its own cordycep products which were
tested on guinea pigs at the Hanoi Medical University and proven to be safe for
human.
The company has been conducting various studies on multiplying and
cultivating several indigenous orchids, morinda officinalis, solanum
procumbens, Yacon, golden eye-grass, jiaogulan, Ming aralia, and dioscorea
hamiltonii./.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on November 20 coordinated with Hai Dang Group Hoa Binh Seafood Company Limited to release 1.5 tonnes of fries into Hoa Binh Lake to regenerate aquatic resources, with a total value of 266 million VND (10,460 USD).
On the afternoon of November 16, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, held a reception for a delegation from the Indian Embassy led by Ambassador Sandeep Arya. From a type of bulb used as a seasoning for daily meals, thanks to the efforts of local authorities and farmers, shallots have become a commercial crop in Yen Thuy district, contributing to promoting the transformation of crop structure in agricultural production, bringing higher incomes to locals.
