(HBO) - A delegation of Japanese businesses led by Yuseke Shimojima from the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry came to Hoa Binh province on March 5 to learn about investment opportunities.
The working session with the delegation was attended by member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh, and Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang.
Through the meeting, the Japanese side aimed to gain an insight into the local situation and seek investment chances. They expressed their interest in such fields as real estate, electronic component production, and other industrial areas.

At the event, the two sides discussed the province’s potential and advantages, along with its investment attraction policy and opportunities. The Japanese firms studied investment incentives, prioritised fields, and human resources for investment projects.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Van Tinh spoke highly of their interest in Hoa Binh. He suggested them consider investing in potential and strong areas of his province such as eco-tourism, cultural tourism, leisure tourism; hi-tech agriculture; industrial park infrastructure; supporting industries; new material production; and ecological residential areas.
Hoa Binh is pushing ahead with reforming its business environment. It pledges to assist businesses and investors to successfully implement their projects for the sake of sustainable development of both the province and enterprises, he added.
Hoa Binh province’s economy posted an impressive Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth rate of 12.67% in the first quarter of 2025, representing a 12.76% year-on-year increase, the highest rate recorded since the beginning of the current tenure, according to the provincial Statistics Office. This robust growth reflects years of strategic groundwork and sets a strong foundation for the province’s annual growth target of over 10%.
With a focus on cash crop farming with science - technology application and brand building, Lac Thuy district is gradually increasing production value, improving people's life quality, and laying the foundation for sustainable socio-economic development.
In recent years, the economic development model "Hoa Binh Earthworm Farm” run by Mr. Bui Van Dang in Co Giua Hamlet, My Thanh Commune (Lac Son district) has not only brought stable economic value but it is also environmentally friendly, helping to protect and reduce pollution, contributing to the construction of a green and sustainable agriculture.

Alongside this, the district has remained committed to preserving and revitalising traditional craft villages.
