(HBO) - The People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province has just issued a plan to implement the sustainable poverty reduction program in Hoa Binh province in 2019.


Accordingly, the target is to reduce the rate of the households in the whole province from 14.74% at the end of 2018 to 11.74% at the end of 2019. It is necessary to continue synchronously and effectively implementing the programs and projects of the poverty reduction under the national program for sustainable poverty reduction from now to 2020, focusing on investing in essential infrastructure in extremely difficult communes and villages in accordance with the new rural criteria. It is also important to ensure that 100% of the poor households, the poverty threshold households and households who have just escaped from poverty are eligible for preferential credit loans if they are in need.

100% of the poor people and the ethnic minority people living in areas with difficult socio-economic conditions and in areas with particularly difficult conditions and those who are under the state beneficiaries are granted health insurance cards. The poor households, the poverty threshold households and the families under preferential treatment policy are continuously supported to build suitable hygienic latrines, increasing the number of households using clean water to reduce the deficit of the clean water. The income of the households participating in projects supporting production development, diversifying the livelihoods and replicating poverty reduction models have increased by 20% a year or more. On average, each year there are at least 15% of the households have escaped from poverty and poverty threshold.

In order to achieve the set objectives, the People's Committee of the province has required the synchronous implementation of guidelines, mechanisms and policies in accordance with the reality. The province has promoted the achieved results and mobilized the combined strength of the whole political system to successfully implement the poverty reduction target in 2019.
