(HBO) - The development and application of e-commerce technologies and services have encouraged banks, credit organisations and businesses to apply card technology in banking services, especially e-payment of salary, and electricity, water and phone bills.

Agribank Hoa Binh’s branch in Phuong Lam ward has placed importance to IT application in management and administration, aiming to improve its business efficiency.

The development and application of e-commerce technologies and services have encouraged banks, credit organisations and businesses to apply card technology in banking services, especially e-payment of salary, and electricity, water and phone bills.

The provincial People’s Committee has issued some policies to support businesses and develop the market. IT application in enterprises has initially yielded fruits. Businesses, especially those in the sectors of finance, banking, insurance, post and telecommunications, have invested in infrastructure to serve IT application and development in production and business management. They have used software to manage customers, workforce, goods and payment fees, among others.

Local enterprises have applied e-payment in production and business activities. Up to 60 percent of supermarkets, commercial centres, and electricity, water and telecom service suppliers have employed e-payment.

The province has taken solutions and carried out activities to facilitate e-commerce and spread it among businesses and consumers.

Besides, up to 80 percent of instructions of the province’s leaders and heads of departments, agencies and districts have been posted on portals. Ninety percent of internal documents of agencies have been exchanged online, eradicating the need for hard copies, while 90 percent of official documents of State agencies have been exchanged online in parallel with hard copies.

Thirty one portals of departments, agencies and People’s Committees of districts and cities have been set up and linked with the province’s portal.

The shared software for one-stop-shop services has been put into service, connecting all departments, agencies and one-stop-shop service suppliers in Hoa Binh’s cities and districts.

Additionally, teleconferences have been organised with the participation of representatives from the provincial People’s Committee and cities and districts, helping save money and time. More than 90 such teleconferences have been held so far.-VNA
