(HBO) – A festival promoting fish sourced from Da River in Hoa Binh province was held at the Da River fish supermarket located on Lac Long Quan street, Tay Ho district, Hanoi, from December 15-17.
The
event was co-organised by the sub-department of agro-forestry-fishery product
quality management and Minh Phu Seafood Corp (Micfood).

Micfood
is operating in aquaculture with 60 fish cages, and cooperating in raising 200
others on Hoa Binh Lake. With closely-controlled quality and product
origin-tracing stamps, the company received a VietGap certificate this year.
Each year, it provides 450 tonnes of fish for supermarkets and restaurants in
the capital city.
Special
species of Da River fish along with processed fishery products were introduced
during the week-long event. On this occasion, Micfood offered a 20 percent
discount to bills.
According
to the sub-department, the festival, the fourth of its kind, aims to promote Da
River fish to consumers in Hanoi and its adjacent localities./.
In Lac Thuy district, communes have been succeeded in promoting their One Commune-One Product (OCOP) products while others are still struggling to position their typical farming products in market. Some communes in the district still fail to have their products met OCOP programme’s requirements, while others have seen their certifications expired.
