(HBO) - After more than 1 year of implementing the provincial Scheme of One Product One Commune Program (OCOP) in the period of 2019-2020, with a vision to 2030, the program has achieved important initial results, creating motivation for the new rural construction and the rural economic development.

Phong have been certified as 3-star OCOP products of the province in 2019,
which has been well received by consumers.
In 2019, 11 out of the 11 districts and the city reviewed 53
products, with 34 out the 53 products submitted to participate in the
evaluation and ranking of OCOP products at the provincial level. The results
are that 27 out the 34 products have been evaluated and ranked by the
provincial Appraisal Board. The provincial Appraisal Board has submitted these
products to the People's Committee of the province for recognition of OCOP
products of 21 subjects. Particularly, 9 products have achieved a 4-star level,
18 products have earned a 3-star rating. In 2020, there are 54 products
registered to participate in OCOP Program.
In order to well implement the guiding contents of the
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the Official Dispatch No. 911
dated on February 10, 2020 on improving the effectiveness of implementation of
the OCOP Program in 2020, the provincial People's Committee has issued a
written request to the People's Committees of the districts, the city, branches
and units concerned to drastically direct the implementation of the OCOP
Program and to strengthen reviewing, encouraging and guiding people and
economic entities to participate in the OCOP Program, ensuring that OCOP
products are of high community quality and good quality.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on November 20 coordinated with Hai Dang Group Hoa Binh Seafood Company Limited to release 1.5 tonnes of fries into Hoa Binh Lake to regenerate aquatic resources, with a total value of 266 million VND (10,460 USD).
On the afternoon of November 16, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, held a reception for a delegation from the Indian Embassy led by Ambassador Sandeep Arya. From a type of bulb used as a seasoning for daily meals, thanks to the efforts of local authorities and farmers, shallots have become a commercial crop in Yen Thuy district, contributing to promoting the transformation of crop structure in agricultural production, bringing higher incomes to locals.
