(HBO) – Hoa Binh province raked in an estimated 120.27 million USD from exports in August, a month-on-month surge of 44.46 percent, according to the provincial People’s Committee.

Midori Apparel Vietnam Company based at Luong Son Industrial Park specialises in garment-textile production for exports to Japan, remarkably contributing to the province’s export value.

In the first eight months of this year, the province’s exports totalled 523 million USD, down 1.66 percent from the same period last year, hitting 50.68 percent of the year’s plan.

Exports of commodities in August topped 116.66 million USD, up 57.53 percent month-on-month, bringing the figure in January-August to 498.89 million USD, down 1.12 percent compared to the same period last year.

Exports of services reached 3.6 million USD in August, rising 12.5 percent month-on-month. The eight month figure stood at 24.12 million USD, down 11.65 percent from the previous year’s same period./.
