Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Yuji Kuroiwa, Governor of Kanagawa, said that the prefecture organised investment promotion seminars in Hanoi in January and July in order to call for investments from Vietnamese businesses.

The prefecture worked with the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) to assist the CMC Corporation in opening its subsidiary in Japan.

A representative from the CMC Corporation said that CMC Japan is located in Yokohama of Kanagawa prefecture as the locality has a lot of preferential policies supporting newly-established companies like CMC Japan.

The company will work to provide high-quality software engineers as well as comprehensive IT services for consumers in Japan, the representative confirmed.-
