(HBO) - According to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP)’s branch in Hoa Binh province, in the past nine months, the lending programme for clean water supply and environmental sanitation in rural areas is among those with highest capital disbursement with 150.5 billion VND (about 6 million USD) worth of loans to over 7,800 households. To date, the total outstanding lending of this credit programme has topped 619 billion VND, ranking fourth among credit programmes that the branch is implementing.
According to the branch, the demand for loans for rural clean water supply and environmental sanitation in the province has been high in recent years, thus, this is one of the programmes that are prioritised for implementation. The capital has been disbursed to the beneficiaries in a timely manner over the past nine months. Accordingly, over 7,800 clean water supply projects and over 7,500 sanitation works have been built in the locality, contributing to improving the quality of life of people in rural areas and speeding up the implementation of the environmental criterion in the new-style rural building programme./.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on November 20 coordinated with Hai Dang Group Hoa Binh Seafood Company Limited to release 1.5 tonnes of fries into Hoa Binh Lake to regenerate aquatic resources, with a total value of 266 million VND (10,460 USD).
