(HBO) – The province's industrial production index in January 2023 was estimated to increase 7.21% compared to December 2022 but decreased by 14.96% year-on-year.
Of which, the mining industry saw a decline of 49.92% compared
to December 2022 but picked up 9.89% over the same period last year; the
manufacturing and processing industry's index dropped 10.16% compared to
December 2022 but increased by 0.43% over the same period last year. The
electricity production and distribution industry surged by 45.67% compared to
December 2022 but plummeted by 27.55% on a yearly basis and the water supply
industry suffered from a 31.74% drop compared to December 2022 and a 5.49%
decrease over the same period last year.
The January industrial production index of the province
increased mainly in the field of electricity production.
Electricity production in January 2023 reached 531 million KWh,
up 172 million KWh, or 48.01% compared to the previous month.
