(HBO) – Hoa Binh provincial Tax Department has been closely coordinating with agencies and localities in implementing measures for State budget collection since the beginning of this year as challenges are said to remain.

In 2022, BigFa joint Stock Company in Luong Son Industrial Park in Luong Son district contributed over 10 billion VND to the State budget.

According to the department, in 2023, the Government assigned the province to collect nearly 5 trillion VND (210.43 million USD) for State budget, while the provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee expected a budget revenue of 6.9 trillion VND. Of that, the Government expects to get 2.92 trillion from the collection of taxes and fees (excluding land use fees) and the provincial People's Council, 3.4 trillion VND. For the collection of land use fees, the Government expects 2 trillion VND, and the Provincial People's Council 3.5 trillion VND.

Meanwhile, world political and economic developments and domestic situations pose difficulties and challenges for the province to meet the expectation. Thus, from the first month of this year, the provincial Tax Department and other departments, branches and localities have focused on synchronously and drastically implementing solutions for State budget collection.

In January, the province collected estimated 280 billion VND for State budget, reaching 5.7% of the Government estimate, 4.1% of the provincial People's Council estimate, equaling 44.5% of the same period last year. Of that, it collected 41 billion VND of land use fee, reaching 13.6% of the Government estimate, 7.7% of the provincial People's Council's estimate, equaling 73% of the same period last year.

Tax and fee collection (except land use fee) was estimated at 239 billion VND, reaching 8.2% of the Government estimate, 7% of the People's Council estimate, equaling 92.5% of the same period last year.
Director of the provincial Tax Department Vu Hong Long said that local tax agencies has been implementing measures to reach this year’s targets as assigned by the Government and local authorities.

He added that in 2023, land use revenue will continue to be the main source of local revenue as the Government expects the province to collect 2 trillion VND of land use fee, accounting for 40.6% of total State budget collection and provincial People's Council expects 3.5 trillion VND, accounting for 50.7% of total estimates.

The department will actively coordinate with agencies and localities in reviewing and consulting the provincial People's Committee to issue a land use fee collection plan in 2023. The tax sector actively grasps the socio-economic situation, the "health" of enterprises and production and business activities to promptly propose solutions solving tax payers’ difficulties.

Local tax agencies will also strictly manage online business activities. They also planned to promote the implementation of e-invoices, particularly at restaurants, supply chains, and supermarkets. The tax sector also promotes communication work and support to taxpayers at all stages.

It also strengthens inspection and supervision over the tax registration and declaration of taxpayers to ensure that all organisations and individuals with production and business activities in the locality will be managed and submit tax declarations./.
