This year's summer-autumn crop, the production direction is carried out early, focusing on the best seasonal frame. The weather is relatively favorable; the diseases on crops, livestock, and aquaculture are estimated, predicted and promptly prevented, and well controlled. The annual crop planting area has reached 46.5 thousand hectares, reaching 101.7% compared to that of the same period and 104.4% of the set plan. The area of grain crops has reached 33.2 thousand hectares, reaching 99% compared to that of the same period and 99.5% of the set plan. The annual output of grain crops is estimated at 36.3 thousand tons.

Currently, the total herd of pigs and poultry on the farm continues to increase. The production links along the value chain have been formed and they have been operating effectively. The entire province has consolidated and exchanged over 4,407 hectares of land; Converting 2,500 hectares of ineffective rice land to other crops; About 9.3 thousand hectares of new forest have been planted, reaching 167.6% of the set plan; maintaining the forest coverage of 51.5%. With a total of 2.7 thousand hectares of water surface area for aquaculture, the localities have been focusing on taking care of 4.98 thousand fish cages; The annual output is estimated at 12,200 tons. There have been over 19.9 thousand tons of agricultural products, nearly 25,000 m3 of furniture and plywood has been exported.

At the conference, the delegates discussed and analyzed the results achieved, clearly pointing out the shortcomings and limitations that need overcoming in the production of the summer-autumn crops. For the spring crop production of 2023 - 2024, according to the plan, the whole province strives for an annual crop planting area of 62 thousand hectares. Of which, the grain crops cover 31.4 thousand hectares; the output is16.5 thousand tons...

Making a conclusion speech at the conference, Mr. Dinh Cong Su, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in the production of the summer-autumn crop in 2023. He commented that the winter-spring crop is a crop with a large planting area, and there are many types of crops for intensive cultivation with high productivity, determining the production results for the whole year. Therefore, the localities need to focus on the leadership and the strict direction from the beginning of the season to achieve comprehensive results in terms of area, productivity, output and value of agricultural products. It is necessary to resolutely direct the farmers to continue production on the areas that have plans to recover and change the purpose of the land use that have not recovered or deployed immediately to take advantage of, and not leave the land vacant.

The agricultural sector and other branches, units, and the People's Committees of the districts and the city need to carefully review to develop production targets and plans that are close to the local realities; proactively converting the ineffective rice-growing land areas to other crops; Encouraging the farmers to promote the application of science and technology in production to increase the value of agricultural products. In addition, it is also necessary to maintain the total herd of cattle and poultry, developing industrial production and livestock farming on farms, ensuring livestock farming conditions according to the regulations and in accordance with the master plan for the economic development of each locality; Planting and caring for the planted forests to ensure progress as required; Promoting the intensive fish farming in cages and rafts on the rivers and large lakes; Applying science and technology to increase productivity and value per unit area...
