Chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh on February 2 held a Lunar New Year meeting with businesses, investors and cooperation in the locality. The event drew Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Bui Duc Hinh; Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hoang Quang Phong; representatives from the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and the Vietnam Association of Young Entrepreneurs; as well as leaders of local departments, sectors and localities and 200 local businesses, cooperatives and investors in the locality.
Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hoang Quang Phong pledges to create favourable conditions and provide highest support to Hoa Binh and local businesses and investors during their development process.
In 2023, despites difficulties and challenges, Hoa Binh still recorded comprehensive achievements in all fields. The province completed its provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050.
Along with effective solutions to support local businesses and investors, Hoa Binh saw improvements in the local investment environment and competitiveness. The province ranked 23 among localities in administrative reform index, and leaped nine places in the provincial competitiveness index. Particularly, currently, it takes only one day for a company to process the business registration procedures, and 14 days to get construction licences, and 2.99-3.57 days for power supply service access.
At the meeting, local businesses and investors thanked the Hoa Binh Party Committee, People’s Committee and People’s Council as well as provincial departments, sectors and localities for supporting them over the years.
They raised a number of suggestions, including continuing to improve the investment environment and reform administrative procedures, supporting travel and agricultural firms, speeding up ground clearance, promoting transport projects and regional connections.
Addressing the event, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hoang Quang Phong hailed the efforts of Hoa Binh in listening to the voice of local businesses and deal with their difficulties. He the VCCI will create optimal conditions and provide maximum assistance for businesses and investors in Hoa Binh during their development process.
For his part, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Duc Hinh recognised the contributions of the business community to the socio-economic development of the province.
He vowed that the province will provide best investment environment for them and accompany them during their development. Hinh also called for their contributions of ideas in building and implementing the provincial planning in the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, as well as their recommendations in policies and mechanisms, as well as their feedback.
The provincial leader expressed his hope that local businesses will engaging in implementing political tasks and movements of the province.
On the occasion, the People’s Committee of Hoa Binh presented the emulation flags to three businesses that showed outstanding performance in national patriotism emulation movements in 2023, as well as the certificates of merit to 17 others.
The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on November 20 coordinated with Hai Dang Group Hoa Binh Seafood Company Limited to release 1.5 tonnes of fries into Hoa Binh Lake to regenerate aquatic resources, with a total value of 266 million VND (10,460 USD).
On the afternoon of November 16, Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, held a reception for a delegation from the Indian Embassy led by Ambassador Sandeep Arya. The delegation included the chairperson of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, embassy personnel, and Indian businesses operating in Vietnam. Accompanying Long at the meeting were leaders of the provincial People's Committee and representatives from various departments and sectors.
Hoa Binh province hosted the "Meet India 2024" conference on November 16, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral economic ties between Vietnam and India.
In recent times, with its core role in building and fostering great national unity, Cao Phong district's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has actively carried out its responsibilities and front work, and closely collaborated with member organisations to encourage locals to implement the Party’s guidelines, and the State’s policies and laws. From a type of bulb used as a seasoning for daily meals, thanks to the efforts of local authorities and farmers, shallots have become a commercial crop in Yen Thuy district, contributing to promoting the transformation of crop structure in agricultural production, bringing higher incomes to locals.
