A working delegation from Hoa Binh province led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Chuong held a working session with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (ThaiCham) on the sidelines of the "Meet Thailand" event co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Thai Embassy, and the People's Committee of Lao Cai province on August 28 in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.
Attending the event were leaders and staff from the Office of the Hoa Binh provincial People's Committee, the Centre for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, the management board of industrial zones, and the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Chuong and leaders of local departments and agencies hold a working session with ThaiCham.
Chuong introduced the unique cultural identity, stunning natural landscapes and untapped potential of Hoa Binh province to the ThaiCham delegation. He expressed his hope that ThaiCham would help promote Hoa Binh's advantages to Thai organisations, businesses, investors and the public. With its proximity to Hanoi, convenient transport, dynamic governance and investment incentives, Hoa Binh offers numerous opportunities for Thai businesses, he said.
Praising Thai firms and investors for their financial strength, operational experience, compliance with local laws, and quality products, he invited them to become key partners in Hoa Binh's growth. He also affirmed the province’s unwavering support for Thai businesses and investors interested in exploring investment opportunities in Hoa Binh, in line with Vietnamese laws and regulations.
ThaiCham President Praween Wirotpan welcomed the meeting and commended the engagement between both sides. He affirmed ThaiCham's commitment to foster investment in trade, high-tech agriculture, manufacturing, and especially tourism, which are also areas where Thai enterprises excel and Hoa Binh seeks growth.
The two sides discussed and reached consensus on several cooperation topics. They expressed hope that ThaiCham's presence in Hoa Binh would bolster investment, trade and tourism ties between Vietnam and Thailand in general, and Hoa Binh province in particular.
The meeting aimed to open up new opportunities for Thai investors in Hoa Binh by providing an insight into economic policies, business conditions, and the local business environment; offering consultancy and connections to create business opportunities and promptly relaying business feedback to local authorities.
