(HBO) – The standing board of the provincial committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCM CYU) on March 1 held a ceremony to kick off the Youth Month 2022 with the theme "Youth and innovation” and a tree-planting festival. Participants at the event were representatives of the provincial HCM CYU committee, Yen Thuy district and the youth union members.

At the ceremony, the provincial HCM CYU committee, in coordination with Vietnam Dairy Products joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) and the HCM CYU chapter of the provincial Military Command, presented 25 packages of gifts to disadvantaged families and poor students with outstanding academic achievements in Huu Loi commune.

The provincial HCM CYU committee also collaborated with the HCM CYU chapters of the provincial police, Yen Thuy district, provincial agencies bloc and Quang Phuc Natural Resources and Environment Co.Ltd to donate 10 tonnes of cement and 25 million VND in cash to the building of a house for the family of Quach Van Thi in Huu Loi commune’s Lien Hop hamlet, and 5,000 seedlings and 5 million VND for tree-planting activities.

A series of meaningful activities are being carried out to mark the 91st founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2022) and to welcome the congresses of the union's chapters at all levels as well as the 12th National Congress, promoting the pioneer and voluntary spirit of union members and young people in new-style rural area building, ensuring social security in disadvantaged, remote and isolated areas.

Activities to respond to this year's Youth Month are organised as efficiently and economically as possible and comply with COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures. /.
