(HBO)- Nguyen Thi Chuyen has been working in Japanese-invested R Technical Research Vietnam Co., Ltd (R Tech Vietnam), which produces high-quality optical lens for digital cameras and other optical instruments, in Left Side Da River Industrial Zone since 2006.

Since the first day working in the lens optical centre identification department, Chuyen has spared no effort to learn to master sophisticated techniques she has to do daily.

 
"High-tech machines together with automatic and semi-automatic production line allow error in the range of 0.005 mm, so I had to learn very hard about how to operate the machines and become a master of lens processing techniques,” Chuyen said, noting that that maximal efforts are meant for the best products to be made.


As an industrious worker, Chuyen has paid much attention to assigned tasks so she drew a lot of experience and come up with initiatives pertaining to labor safety, material alternatives for standard tools, and production, which earned her the company’s Innovative Initiative Awards. These initiatives saved tens of millions of VND for the company every year.

In addition to that, Chuyen is also an enthusiastic and responsible employee, who makes significant contributions to assuring smooth operation in the department. She was appointed as deputy head of the lens optical centre identification department.

For his part, Hoang Viet Hung, deputy chief of the provincial Department of Science and Technology’ office, has stood out in the field of administrative reform and management.

Hung suggested the department’s leaders apply information technology to modernize administrative procedures, which helped the department to top 20 other local departments in administrative reform index in 2016, up 8 steps from the previous year.

Hung also joined in scientific research activities and had practical initiatives for the administrative reform in the locality. Two years ago, his initiative on "Enhancing the quality of public affairs through reception training” was recognized as a provincial initiative.

With his remarkable achievements, he was presented with a certificate of merit of the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee in 2016.

Chuyen and Hung are among standouts in the province’s labour emulation movement in 2016. There were 16 provincial projects and 2,308 initiatives at the grassroots level across fields of healthcare, education and industry in 2016. They all have substantial effects on enhancing labour productivity.

The emulation movement has encouraged provincial workers and collectives to uphold their responsibility, creativity, new mindset, and self-reliance in production. Initiatives with high economic values will enable agencies, sectors and localities to accomplish their political missions as well as production and business goals./.
