In line with the Politburo’s Directive No. 05-CT/TW on promoting the study of and adherence to President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle, the Party Organisation of Kim Boi district has been focusing on developing practical models that align with the roles and realities of local agencies and communities involved. Through this initiative, numerous officials and Party members have emerged as exemplary figures, leading by example in learning from and following the late leader.
Bui Van
Binh has pioneered the cultivation of red-fleshed dragon fruit on single-crop
fields. Today, he has over 500 poles for the fruit, generating an annual income
of more than 150 million VND.
One notable role model among the Party members is Bui Van Binh from Dong Bac
commune’s Dong Nang village, who was once Secretary of the Dong Bac Party
Committee. Known by locals as the first to introduce red-fleshed dragon fruit
to single-crop fields in 2014, Binh’s family has now developed a model with
over 500 poles, yielding more than 10 tonnes of fruit each year and generating
over 150 million VND (5,907 USD) annually.
He shared: "As a Party member, I have followed President Ho Chi Minh in leading
by example, always blazing a trail in local movements, especially in learning
new agricultural techniques to develop my family’s economy. like other
households, my family previously only planted traditional rice varieties with
low yield and quality. After researching, I boldly introduced red-fleshed
dragon fruit, which is now three to four times profitable than rice.”
Beyond enhancing his family’s livelihood, the man has also encouraged residents
in the commune to convert low-yield rice to dragon fruit cultivation, providing
them with saplings and technical support. As a result, Dong Bac now has 16
households cultivating the fruit on a combined area of over 4.5 hectares.
The Kim Boi Party Committee currently includes more than 6,800 Party members
across 66 grassroots Party units. Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's
ideology, morality, and lifestyle has become a lodestar for each official and
Party member, creating a widespread impact within the community and fostering
robust socio-economic development.
Bui Van An, head of the Kim Boi Party Committee’s
commission for communications and education and Director of the district’s
Political Centre, said since 2022, the district has focused on building and
expanding relevant exemplary models and effective practices, with 34
